UPGRADING & COMPLETING THE DESIGN OF TRIPOLI EASTERN RING ROAD
Detailed project description
The aim of this study is to evaluate the traffic forecasts and the economic benefits of the Eastern Ring Road. The primary focused on updating and recalibrating the traffic model for Tripoli to conduct an effective transportation analysis and economic evaluation.
The economic feasibility analysis was based on the evaluation of project benefits in terms of reduction of vehicle congestion (time & vehicle operating costs savings) and the cost estimates (as provided by the technical detailed study). The traffic modelling was used to assess future traffic volumes and to estimate the time for each scenario (with and without the project) as well as VOC by scenario (Vehicle Operation Costs).
SERVICES PROVIDED
- Field Surveys and Data Collection: Conduct field surveys and collect relevant data.
- Road Network Modeling: Describe the simulation of various considerations and the zoning structure of the road network.
- Model Calibration: develop a calibration process that allows the model to reliably replicate existing traffic patterns, which will be used to assess forecasted scenarios.
- Scenarios Simulation: Present different growth scenarios utilized in the model to analyze the proposed Ring Road, including congested sections, overcapacity, and interchanges.
