Within the framework of the Security & Stabilisation Project “SSP” and granted by the European Union, a training course about traffic modeling principles and methodology as well as introduction to EMME tools.

The training presented by the SSP transport team experts was held at the Traffic Management Center “TMC”.

Selected participants from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport MPWT, the Council of Development and Reconstruction CDR, Traffic Management Organization TMO and municipalities (Beirut and Tripoli) were invited to attend this training which was held in two sessions according to participants availability.

The purpose of these training sessions was to provide a wide knowledge about traffic modeling principles using EMME modeling software. Therefore, traffic modelling tools and applications were  presented with highlighting of its objectives, components, methodologies, assignments and limits.
