Detailed description of project
The Traffic Impact Study was developed in accordance with the detailed land use proposed for the North Gate Project. A major objective was to assess trip generation to / from the project, and the capacity of the surrounding road network. The Study determined optimum solutions and measures of effectiveness for roadway transportation in the area, and highlighted constraints.
The Study provided assessment of roadway capacity to accommodate expected traffic volumes. Traffic flows based on the North Gate’s current development pattern, the related trip distribution, and existing site conditions were assessed to evaluate the road network’s level of service. It was in line with the latest version of the "Guidelines, Procedures and Methodology for Review and Approval of Traffic Impact Studies", February 2009. |
